To make my mini reader I pulled a few key quotes from my references;
- The Open Work by Umberto Eco (1989)
- ‘Graphism and Flatness: The Line as Mediator between Time and Space, Intuition and Concept‘ by Sybille Kramer in The Power of Line by M. Faietti and G. Wolf (2015)
- Visualisation and Cognition: Drawing Things Together by Bruno Latour (1986)
- Pedagogical Sketchbook by Paul Klee (1925)
and created new visual compositions with them. I combined the text and images (diagrams sourced from my archive), to draw attention to different parts of the quotes and create concrete poetry style spreads. The pacing and image combinations is in line with my first book How to Diagram, which uses a poetic, almost lyrical, approach to prose and rhythm.
